£3.5 million of personal hygiene products over the last year have been distributed by charities. This is seven times more than before Covid-19.
Munira emphasised the impact this will be having on people’s self-confidence and mental health and said: “It is a huge injustice that keeping clean is a luxury for some in today’s society.”
