Munira has thanked the 650 residents responded to her survey on South Western Railway (SWR) services.
Munira said: “Your responses confirmed what I’ve heard from many of you anecdotally. You told me you want SWR to fix the unacceptable rail services in our area, including the endless delays and cancellations.
“You also want more trains per hour, more trains at peak times and more trains on Sundays. Things are especially bad in Whitton, Hampton and Fulwell, which have been under-served for years, and where the service is particularly appalling.”
This is a crucial moment, because SWR is overhauling its timetables for the first time in over twenty years. Munira has taken residents’ feedback to SWR as part of the pre-consultation process, to fight for better services and more trains for residents.
You can read Munira’s letter to the SWR Managing Director here, and see the summary of the survey here.
