Today in Parliament, Munira asked Nadhim Zahawi MP, the Minister for Vaccine Deployment, to specify where the problems lie within the Covid-19 vaccination supply chain that is causing the rollout of the vaccine to be delayed.

A visit to The Acorn Group Practice in Twickenham last week confirmed reports that some primary care networks were unsure on when they would next be receiving supplies of the vaccination, making it difficult to plan appointments.

A video of Munira’s question and Nadhim Zahawi’s response is below:

Following the exchange, Munira said:

“I am disappointed by the Minister’s response today as he was not clear exactly where the supply issues lie that are slowing down the roll out of the vaccine. It’s crucial these issues are resolved immediately so that we can speed up roll out and turn the tide in the race against the virus.

I will also continue to press for a 24/7 vaccination programme brought to every high street in the country, so that those who are in hard-to-reach groups or those who find the hubs hard to reach can access these life-saving jabs.”
