Munira questioned Priti Patel, Secretary of State for the Home Department, on her announcement to introduce public health measures at the UK’s borders. From 8th June, people travelling to the UK will be required to self-isolate for 14 days.
Munira asked if Priti Patel would concede that these measures have been introduced too late, and whether SAGE has been consulted on the 14 day quarantine.

Munira’s response to Priti’s answer
Following her question, Munira said:
“It is abundantly clear that public health measures should have been implemented at our borders early on before community transmission was widespread.
Announcing a blanket quarantine that has not been endorsed by SAGE and cannot be properly implemented is just window dressing. The British public deserve honesty and transparency.”
