On 5 October, Munira Wilson participated in LBC’s Cross Question panel hosted by Iain Dale, covering everything from overseas students to the state of the Conservative Party. Asked about some Conservatives’ comments about people who claim benefits like Universal Credit, Munira said that people who receive assistance “are absolutely critical to growth”, adding that she was “appalled” that benefit claimants were being talked down. Speaking about Liz Truss’s disastrous first few weeks as Prime Minister, Munira said that the Conservative Party is well past its sell-by date.
Munira told the panel that the Tories “should be looking over their shoulder” in Liberal Democrat target seats like Guildford, Winchester and Esher and Walton.
